Cutting Printing Costs and Streamlining Information Systems

MAPPING Suite's architecture is now centered around Microsoft's XPS format and makes printing easier, smoother and more reliable than ever before. More that just a new version, the new architecture breaks new ground by truly simplifying all Output Management processes.

The XPS format is perfect for handling electronic documents that need printing or archiving. XPS support is now standard in new releases of Windows (since June 2009), with its technology based on XML and ZIP.

Most major printer and scanner manufacturers are ensuring that their hardware supports the XPS format: Ricoh, HP, Xerox, Canon, Lexmark, Konica-Minolta, Kyocera, Fujitsu, Brother, Toshiba, Panasonic. The same goes with software publishers: Kofax, IRIS, GhostScript, etc.

By bringing XPS support to production platforms such as IBM Power systems, UNIX and Linux, MAPPING now makes XPS a universal technology. Today, MAPPING Suite XPS allows the user to retrieve documents created in any format from any platform/application, and convert them to the format best suited to the selected output channel - print, view, e-mail, send to third-party applications, etc.

In addition, MAPPING Suite goes on step further by providing the ability to enhance existing documents and trigger different actions interactively without having to reprocess them using the composition tool. This was simply impossible before MAPPING Suite XPS!

MAPPING Suite XPS raises the bar and eliminates traditional language constraints by providing one single tool to manage all production and desktop documents in any input and output formats.
